Microsoft has killed the 7-inch Surface Mini

Microsoft yesterday in their earnings report confirmed that the Surface Mini hybrid tablet will not see the light of day. Going back to as early as February last year, there have been suggestions of Microsoft producing a new form factor to its Surface line up, with many observers expecting the Redmont, Washington-based tech giant to come out with a scaled-down 7-inch hybrid tablet, and go head-to-head with the iPad mini for dominance over this particular form factor.
